Aranyaani Healing Forest

A few experiences in words:

  • We all enjoyed our stay at Aranyaani. The bonfire, the walks, Vishnu the cook and his simple cooking was relished by all. Shaniram took us on many treks , one to a waterfall which were awesome. Thank you for sharing Aranyaani! Something magical has begun . Hope to be there again for a longer period of time.  With gratitude. ( 6 folks).
  • I stayed away from Delhi pollution to run away from my lung asthma during winter.  Was just expecting clean air and healing food. ...But once relaxed about forests and tribal life, my mind opened to self health. What a quantum leap in the world of understanding the open secret. Amazing, amazing, and amazing…... Also want to add that at first sight, I was thinking this place can be so much more - modern structures, paths, service staff and so on. But by the time of leaving, I was begging to the team to not change anything if I have suggested, as otherwise Forest connect and life connect is the secret that will get overcome by artificial human distractions– Aruna, Delhi
– Alok, Kanpur

How does one's body, mind and soul rediscover the elixir of life ?

With decades spent in forests and mountains, we realize that the answer lies in nature. It is not in eating a few herbs and some exercises, but in allowing oneself to be one (Ekatm) with the forests, and let their magic be revealed. This is the cradle of life and spirit, and remains so.

Aranyaani forests, spread over 100 acres of dense forest, merging into vast Satpura forest and mountains, are a magical place to spend time in, and let the forest be the ultimate healer.

Purest and direct from trees air, Smells of water, soils, and flora, each tailor made for the weather, sitting;alongside a young river just born from mountains, listening to birds, trees and letting nature complete its cycle each day, beautiful life in the smallest tribal hammock, interacting with them, bonfire, doing simple tasks, tending to cows ...all are designed to find that Ekatm.

To that we add , herbal potions, choolah food , light work, walks in dense forests , treks, simple tasks that add to forests, comfortable stay , and Manthan discussions....
And the body, mind awakens to its healing power of Aranyaani. For spiritual minds free of worldly noises, the experience is even more profound.

The trees and wider nature communicate through a vast physical and spiritual network. When you step into our sanctuary, you are stepping into a massive, living network.
The forest senses your arrival. As you breathe in the forest air, you are inhaling the chemical messages of the trees. This is why the healing at Aranyaani feels so personal—because the forest is responding to your biological presence.

Primal Awareness: Living on the edge of the wild triggers a healthy, ancient part of your brain—the amygdala—to shift from "Modern Anxiety" (imaginary fears) to "Primal Awareness" (real-time presence). This shift is the ultimate Stress Buster, clearing the mental clutter of the city in a single night.

Whom is it ideal for?

Modern lifestyle, foods, tensions and pollution, combined with aggressive and non natural medical approach has brought havoc upon human body.

Unnatural body ageing and weaknesses, deficiencies, lung problems, urban and financial stress, compromised digestion, dependence on steroids, ....the list is endless.
So if need to rejuvenate , mentally , physically and spiritually, this is the place and plan.

If one has suffered chronic conditions like lung conditions , and are on steroids, one needs to give body another chance to rediscover itself.

What are the facilities, and costs?

Currently we have 4 cottages (for single or double occupancy) for the Healing center guests, but more cottages are being planned.

What are some special potions or foods I can expect?

The Aranyaani Alchemy, involves , herbs and leaves, and foods, "manifested" in the Aranyaani food forest, prepared in small batches using traditional Adivasi clay pots.
Some preparations are (depending on seasons):

1. The 'Prana' Wake-Up
Ingredients: Wild forest Tulsi, similar herbs, crushed Palash, and a drop of wild lemon.
The Healing: Designed to strip the "city-coat" from your lungs, and cleanse the digestive systems. It oxygenates the blood and clears the mental fog caused by urban pollutants.

2. The 'Ojas' Elixir (The Anti-Ageing Gold)
Ingredients: Resin from the Sal tree, (seasonal gift) wild Amla (Indian Gooseberry) or Bael or karonda and many , and honey gathered from the forests.
The Healing: A powerhouse of antioxidants and Vitamins. This potion targets oxidative stress—the primary driver of ageing—and begins the "cellular polish" that brings a glow back to the skin.

3. The 'Shanti' Decoction (The Cortisol Killer)
Ingredients: Char or mahua or berry fruits, Parijat leaves, ginger and mint.
The Healing: Specifically for the "Burned-Out Urbanite." It recalibrates the adrenal glands and quiets the "fight or flight" response that most city-dwellers live in 24/7.

What activities do I have to be involved in?

We do not plan a time table or fixed ritual. There is no intermediary between you and nature and so let the awakened mind be the guide. We will suggest based on your urge and what we see will help.

Rejuvenating Rituals and activities common here are:

  • The Soil Bath (Mridu Shuddhi): Adivasi wisdom teaches that the skin is the "third lung." In this ritual, we use forest-floor clay, enriched by decaying leaf matter and minerals, to wrap the body. It draws out the heavy metals and micro-pollutants of urban life.
  • The Fire-Gazing (Agni Drashti) : Staring into a wood fire induces a "soft fascination" state. This allows the prefrontal cortex—the part of the brain exhausted by decision-making—to go offline and recover.
  • The Anti-Ageing Wild walks: Ageing is often just "unresolved inflammation." By removing the triggers—noise, processed light, toxic oils, and chronic urgency—your body’s DNA repair mechanisms finally have the energy to work.
  • Ekatm trek : We go to the origin of Palakmati river, along a beautiful stream and forests.
  • Satpura river boat safari
  • Manthan gurukul discussions : To open up a new understanding of Bharat's culture, Consciousness and Kutumbs
  • Simple food forest activities: You can be part of our daily chores - tending to cows, guarding at night, harvesting, preparing choolah foods, bringing wood, preparing huts, and so on.
  • Survivor trainings: Handling each problem with ease in nature and outside.

Why is ONE WEEK kept the MINIMUM stay ?

This healing space and plan is not for tourism travelers. We often get asked: "Can I stay for just a weekend?" Our answer is gentle but firm: To heal is to habituate.

The One-Week Minimum is the biological "tipping point."

Days 1–2: The Detox Phase. Your body sheds the caffeine-jitters and the "hurry-up" chemicals. You may feel tired; the forest is asking you to sleep.
Days 3–4: The Sensory Opening. Your hearing becomes acute. You start noticing the different shades of green. Your digestion stabilizes on the Adivasi diet.
Days 5–7: The Cellular Shift. This is where "Anti-Ageing" begins. Inflammation markers drop significantly. You start sensing your greater possibilities. Mind starts reading the natural network, and Spirit rises.

What is living in Aranyaani like?

Living in and with the Adivasi hamlet is the best part of Aranyaani stay.

When you stay at Aranyaani, you are not in a resort; you are in a Living Ancestral Space.
The Adivasi Wisdom: Our neighbors are the guardians of the tiger’s realm. They teach us that "Health" is not a lab report, but a relationship with the wind, the water, and the trees.
Unstructured Activity: We encourage "Gentle Self-Chosen Activities".

Aranyaani Daily Rhythm is a symphony of Slowness.

We don't use clocks; we use the light. This "Easy Pace" is designed to re-synchronize your internal energies.
