This ghee comes from our free roaming cows in our food forests and associated projects in forested villages.
NOTE: Due to over demand, sometimes it takes 15 to 20 days to make and despatch the Ghee.
The process used is:
- Approximately half of cows milk (Ratio is reduced if calf is young; average gross milk per milking cow is about 1.5 litre per day) is used for setting curd straightaway.
- After 48 hours, the curd is churned with a small manual machine and ghee is separated. Ratio of milk to ghee is about 26 litres to 1 kg.
Like all other products, each product unit has farm level traceability, also available to customers to view online and visit.
